True health is a worthy quest. When you align your body with your heart and your mind with your spirit, you're off to a good start. Give your body what it needs to feel loved and give your mind what it needs to attain inner peace.

ACTION STEPS

 True health will sustain your body and mind for a lifetime. A healthy body has a heart that is open to both giving and receiving love and lives in a state of ease. A healthy mind finds inner peace in the silence of meditation and thrives in a state of grace.

 Knowing how to deal with stress is essential for true health. What you say to yourself and how you breathe can either lower or raise your stress level. Saying: “I’ve got this!” in a stressful situation reduces stress and taking several deep, relaxing breaths turns off the stress response that is only useful if you need to fight or run away.

 Sometimes the body needs to be shocked out of its comfort zone to create true health. Cold therapy lowers inflammation, speeds up metabolism, stimulates mental focus, boosts the immune system, and lowers anxiety. Ending your shower with a 30 second cold rinse is a good way to get started with this kind of health therapy.

 Overall strength is helpful on your quest for true health. If you tend to do the same movements day after day there are muscles that are getting neglected. Find new ways to move your body that develop total strength. Training for, and then completing a marathon or triathlon, are two ways to build mental strength and physical endurance.

 A healthy brain helps you function in the physical world. Maintaining a good memory comes from learning new things, doing things that are challenging, dancing, eating organic whole foods, and eliminating processed sugar that is harmful to your brain,

 Accepting your body is an important part of the quest for true health. Treat your body with the utmost respect by giving it what it needs to feel good. Value your energy field by keeping toxic energy out of your personal space so that you can be truly healthy.
