Being grounded on the footpath of life will take you where you want to go. As you keep your eyes on the beauty of nature you will awaken your true self and live in the present moment. To be grounded in love and beauty is a soulful way of moving through life.

“But it turns out that people who are grounded and secure don't change much under stress. That's what being grounded means.”  ~ Michael Gruber

ACTION STEPS

To be grounded is to live in a state of balance. It means you make sensible choices that are rooted in the wisdom of your soul. You’re able to navigate the ups and downs of life with a clear mind and an open heart while being fully engaged in the present moment.

When you are ungrounded you experience symptoms i.e., anxiety, fatigue, pain, dizziness and poor concentration. To alleviate these conditions you can become grounded by standing barefoot on the earth, sitting with your back against a tree, or taking a mindful walk in nature.

The more grounded you are the calmer you will be. When you need to move through challenging events, being grounded gives you the edge of feeling relaxed. Without the element of stress you can think clearly and handle the situation with ease and grace.

Boredom is a sign that you have temporarily lost the curiosity and creativity that comes from being grounded in the present moment. Place your hands over your heart center in the middle of your chest and breathe deeply to connect with the power of presence.

Your spirit is both inside and outside of your body. It is the part of you that is free of physical limitations. When you are grounded in the eternal now moment your spiritual self will take you on a vertical path to gain a higher perspective of life on planet earth.

Gardening is a grounding activity. Consuming organic root vegetables i.e., carrots, potatoes, yams, turnips and radishes will also help you feel deeply connected to the earth. Conscious eating is another way to ground yourself in the present moment.

A natural prescription for health includes spending time in nature to get grounded. Listening to the sounds of the natural world will bring you into the present where you are more aware of internal mental chatter. Observe your thoughts as clouds passing by so that your mind can rest in stillness.
