Fear exists in the mind. Becoming fearless is realizing that you don't have to believe your own fearful thoughts. Being afraid of your own thinking is like being frightened by your own shadow. You're only one thought away from courage.
"Do the thing you are afraid to do, and the death of fear is certain.” ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The defenseless rabbit is associated with fear because it reacts by freezing and then running away from a potential threat. Rabbits also represent fertility. A fertile mind can either grow seeds of fear and anxiety or safety and security. It all depends on what you choose to plant in your subconscious.
What scares you? Is it a rational or irrational fear? If it is irrational then facing it will cause it to disappear. I used to have a fear of public speaking. After getting up in front of large corporate audiences a few times I was able to shift from the fear of being judged to the love of sharing my message and making a positive difference.
You can overcome irrational fears that cause anxiety by reminding yourself that in this moment you are safe. Fear of a future outcome is viewing life as a potential threat rather than a potential blessing. Imagining the 'worst case scenario' can actually cause fear. Becoming fearless involves using your mind to imagine the 'best case scenario' as a way to direct the subconscious to move you in that direction.
Fear of failure is a strategy of the ego to stay safe. If you don't try something new or put yourself out there in the world where people might criticize your efforts, you will remain stuck in a protective cocoon of safety. Break out of your cocoon and you will experience the freedom of spreading your wings.
Use the power of your subconscious mind to turn fear into an opportunity for growth. Imagine yourself getting through a challenge with a positive outcome. Your subconscious mind doesn't know the difference between reality and imagination so it will support you when the time comes to actually face the challenge with confidence.
Bringing your past fears into the present is like asking a much younger version of yourself to deal with a challenge you're currently facing. You're not the same person you were in the past and the person you are today is perfectly capable of handling things with greater wisdom and clarity.
Fear of not having enough . . . money, time, love, or energy comes from the limiting belief that you're not enough. Fearlessness arises the moment you choose to believe that you are enough and the rest will follow.
